WHAT is Craft Fair@Lapunyah?

Craft Fair@Lapunyah is all about selling your craft. It is a SEE, BUY, TAKE exhibition. All works MUST be for sale and can be priced as the craftworker chooses. For the general public the Craft Fair is timed as an opportunity to purchase one-off unique items for upcoming Christmas presents.

What is Craft?

Craft is the traditional main sector of object making and applies to a wide range of creative and design activities that are related to making things with one's hands and skill, including work with textiles, moldable and rigid materials, paper, plant fibers, clay, etc. Usually, the term is applied to traditional techniques of creating items (whether for personal use or as products) that are both practical and aesthetic.

What is a Crafts Person?

If you are interested in making one-off objects which are both practical and aesthetic, then you can consider yourself a craftsperson.

Important Dates:

30th September - last day to drop off craft items

10th October - Craft Fair opening 5.30pm to 7.30pm

12th November - collection of unsold craft items

General Terms and Conditions

  • Exhibition Timeline and Terms and Conditions must be adhered to

  • Works to have been completed in last two years

  • There is no age limit for craftworkers

  • Craft items are limited to 10 per craftworker

  • All works must be able to be hung or installed safely, and mediums to be dry

  • Instructions must be given for any work requiring special installation

  • 2D works to have suitable D rings only attached; no wires or string

  • Works must have labels with craftworker’s name and the name of work attached

  • LAG Installation Team will install all and perform Condition Reports on all works

  • Photographs of artworks may be used for publicity purposes by LAG

  • LAG takes all care but accepts no responsibility for theft or damage

  • Arrangements for freight, costs and transit insurance are the responsibility of craftworker

  • Commission of 20% is deducted from sales

  • All craftworkers with sold works will be contacted by a designated Volunteer by the end of the exhibition period to inform them their work has been sold and to confirm Bank details

  • Craftworker’s will be paid, less 20% Commission, for sold works after the monthly General Meeting which follows the end of the exhibition

  • Works to be collected within 3 working days after demount of exhibition. After 30 days, unclaimed works will be dealt with at discretion of LAG Inc.

  • INELIGIBLE ENTRIES: Works not for sale; works already displayed at LAG; works created or designed using AI; works bridging copyright; works not reflecting ethos of LAG Inc; works deemed unsuitable for installation in the exhibition due to size, installation requirements or material used
