YOUTH@LAPUNYAH

Lapunyah Art Gallery encourages our regional Youth to take the leap and showcase their art through various ways. These include:

• Competitions, such as the biennial Melon Festival Exhibition and the annual Western Downs Regional Artists’ Exhibition

• The Annual Chinchilla Show Art Exhibition where exhibitors from the Youth Section of the Fine Arts Exhibition and the placegetters of the Primary School Art Section are invited to exhibit

• The triennial Youth Artist Exhibition where local youth artists are mentored through a program of creating their artworks and then curating their own exhibition

• The annual Schools Exhibition where local schools or Youth Organisations from the old Chinchilla Shire are invited to exhibit their students’ artwork in Gallery 2

• Gallery 2 exhibitions such as ANON, crafts fair and NAIDOC which are inclusive of all ages

• Workshop programs designed for Youth participants

Youth is defined as being 18 years old and below. Terms and conditions apply according to the event.

Schools, kindergartens, daycare groups, home schooling and/or Youth Organisations interested in exhibiting at Lapunyah Art Gallery (no costs involved) are asked to contact the exhibition facilitator on lapunyah@outlook.com
