Why does LAG Inc. have a Friend of Lapunyah Program?

Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc is a Not-for-Profit volunteer-run organisation, which manages the Lapunyah Art Gallery arts space in the Chinchilla Cultural Precinct, through a small funding agreement with the Western Downs Regional Council. This funding only allows scope for basic day-to-day gallery operations.

How will monies raised through additional funding assist in all aspects of Gallery management, maintenance and in community support?

  • Structural – improved infrastructure e.g. improved disability access

  • Managerial – Improved management strategies e.g. employment of an administrative assistant to reduce risk of Volunteer Burnout

  • Communication – improved signage e.g. digital outdoor noticeboard, general Gallery Signage

  • Gallery-based activities – more arts and culture opportunities for the local community e.g. Markets@Lapunyah, competitions (prize money, trophies etc) and community-based exhibitions, Openings

  • Artist support – Artists@Lapunyah projects e.g. training for artists in gallery practices and procedures, bursaries for artists to attend professional development opportunities, payments for artists at gallery events e.g. Openings (entertainment), workshops (tutors)

  • Chinchilla Community Collection – e.g. maintenance of existing artworks, acquisition of new artworks, archiving artwork records, protective covers for artworks

How do I become a Friend of Lapunyah?

You can become a FOL by:

  • Joining online through the Humanitix booking site (see above) for Level 1 ($25)

  • For Levels 2 ($100) and 3 ($500 or more) download the two Parts to the FOL Brochure and send the completed form to lapunyah@outlook.com with the Level or monies you wish to donate, and an Invoice for the amount will be sent to you

  • For all Levels you can visit Lapunyah Art Gallery and fill in a FOL brochure and one of our Volunteers will assist you with the payment and give you your Discount Voucher

  • FOLs paying online or by Direct Deposit into LAG Inc.s bank account will receive a discount voucher by email

How do I/my Business/my Organisation/my Company become a Long-Term Sponsor of Lapunyah Art Gallery?

Individuals/businesses/organisations/companies interested in becoming a Long-Term Sponsor of Lapunyah Art Gallery are asked to contact the President of LAG Inc. on president@lapunyahartgallery.com.au or on lapunyah@outlook.com

Monies raised through Long-Term Sponsorship of Lapunyah Art Gallery can be used for specific projects e.g. Workshops@Lapunyah program or to assist in Gallery management, equipment maintenance and community engagement.

Friend of Lapunyah Brochure Part 1

Within the LAG Inc. Constitution there are three Classes of members:

The membership of LAG Inc consists of Ordinary Members (i.e. Volunteers who give their time and labour to operating the gallery and have voting rights at General Meetings, Management Meetings and Annual General Meetings);

Sponsor Members (i.e. individuals who sponsor gallery events and operations but do not have voting rights at General Meetings, Management Meetings and Annual General Meetings);

Corporate Members (i.e. businesses/corporations who sponsor gallery events and operations but do not have voting rights at General Meetings, Management Meetings and Annual General Meetings.)

Scope of Membership for Friends of Lapunyah:

  • Individuals/businesses/corporations/organisations can become a Friend of Lapunyah through donations (not including Grants) to Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc for specific operations, competitions, and/or programs, or for general daily Gallery-based operations, programs and projects

  • Any individual/business/corporation/organisation donating $25 or more is entitled to Friends of Lapunyah membership and benefits

  • Should an individual/business/corporation/organisation choose not to use the benefits given by the Friends of Lapunyah program, Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc is registered with the ACNC as having DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status

LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP AND BENEFITS FOR FRIENDS OF LAPUNYAH (FOL)

General Benefits of Membership:

  • Personal email invitations to Gallery Exhibition Openings, Artists’ Walks, and Gallery social and community events

  • Email invitations to General Meetings and Annual General Meeting

  • Gallery Newsletter via email

  • Hard or digital copy of LAG 6 monthly Calendar of Events

  • Inclusion of name/Business/Corporation/Organisation on Friends of Lapunyah Noticeboard inside the Gallery space, including recognition of level of donation (i.e. 1, 2 or3)

THREE LEVELS - DISCOUNT VOUCHER valid for one year from the date of becoming a Friend of Lapunyah

  • Level 1 - $25 - General Benefits of Membership - 5% discount voucher on one single monetary transaction

  • Level 2 - $100 - General Benefits of Membership - 10% discount voucher on one single monetary transaction

  • Level 3 - $500 and up - General Benefits of Membership -15% discount voucher on one single monetary transaction

One Single Monetary Transaction can be from one of the following only:

  • Exhibition artworks and merchandise sales

  • Art supplies

  • Exhibition fee (ONE ONLY)

  • Events@Lapunyah fee (ONE ONLY)

  • Gallery-based workshops fee (ONE ONLY)

  • Rental of our workshop/event space (ONE TIME ONLY)

LONG-TERM SPONSORSHIP OF LAPUNYAH ART GALLERY

Friends of Lapunyah can also engage in a long-term partnership with Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc through acquiring the naming rights to a gallery exhibition space:

  • Naming rights Gallery 1 - $3000 per annum for 3 years minimum

  • Naming rights Gallery 2 - $1500 per annum for 3 years minimum

  • Naming rights Gallery 3 - Merchandise Wall -$300 per annum for 3 years minimum

  • Naming rights Gallery 4 - Artist of the Month wall - $150 per annum for 3 years minimum

Long Term Friends of Lapunyah also has access to a Benefits Package over the three years (or term of partnership) with the following additional benefits:

  • Businesses/Corporations/Organisations - Logo inclusion on Lapunyah Art Gallery Facebook, Instagram and Website, on all Social Media publications, and on all printed media and internal gallery signs

  • Individuals - recognition on Lapunyah Art Gallery Facebook, Instagram and Website, on all Social Media publications, and on all printed media and internal gallery signs

  • Businesses/Corporations/Organisations - Logo and name on professionally made Gallery sign at entrance to sponsored exhibition space

  • Individuals - name on professionally made Gallery sign at entrance to chosen exhibition space

  • ll LAG Inc documentation will include the name of the Gallery chosen by the Long Term Friend of lapunyah when referring to the exhibition space e.g. Artist Exhibition Proposals and Exhibition Forms, LAG correspondence
