Kath has been a collector of shells, rocks, flowers, seed pods, bark and leaves since childhood and has dabbled in various arts and crafts her entire life. She becme a primary school teacher and was transferred to Chinchilla in 1987 where her students often produced their own books, cards and handicrafts.
Becoming a member of the Chinchilla Field Naturalists resulted in a keen interest in her local flora and fauna. Kath attended the 2023 Mc Gregor Winter School where she was introduced to cyanotype printmaking. It seemed like fate that she coujld combine her love of plants and this new interest to produce botanical images.
Kath is an emerging artist and was honoured to be part of the recent exhibition Wildflowering on the Western Downs.
